In addition to flutes and whistles, William Sneddon plays oboe, clarinet, English horn and saxophones (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone). He has a master of music in performance from the University of Michigan and was formerly a professor of music at Western Kentucky University. Before moving to New York, he played in "For Me and My Gal" and for "Music, Music, Music" starring Brenda Lee at Opryland in Nashville, TN.
Upon coming to New York, Bill began a career of playing on Broadway. In addition to playing woodwinds in "A Class Act" and the Lincoln Center production of "Dessa Rose", he has appeared regularly in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular" and in Broadway productions of "The Producers", "Dirty Rotten Scoundrals", "Thoroughly Modern Millie", "42nd Street", "Curtins", "Assassins", "The Boy From Oz", "The Wedding Singer", "Victor Victoria", "Bombay Dreams", "Crazy for You", "Guys and Dolls", "Tarzan", "The Drowsy Chaperone", "A Chorus Line", and "Legally Blond". He also toured with "Les Mis" and recorded the English Horn solos for the Mirmax film, "City of Industry" starring Harvey Keitel.
Bill is on the faculty of the Ethical Culture Fieldston Schools of New York City and teaches for the Rivertown Arts Council in Hastings, NY and at Bramson Music Studio in Mt. Kisco.
